Why an Oral Surgeon?
You may be wondering why your dentist referred you to an oral & maxillofacial surgeon. Oral & maxillofacial surgeons focus on treating problems related to the hard and soft tissues of the face, mouth, and jaw.
As a board-certified, oral & maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sullivan specializes in the removal of wisdom teeth, impacted tooth extractions, dental implants, and oral pathology.
Dr. Sullivan and your dentist have committed to a partnership that is carefully designed to provide you, and your family, the best care possible. Dr. Sullivan understands that his patient’s value his training and experience, and appreciate his ability to talk with them plainly.
Surgery is an anxiety-inducing experience. A friendly face can make all the difference.
Benefits of A Board-Certified Oral Surgeon
The American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), is the certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States, and is recognized and approved by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association.
As an ABOMS Diplomate, Dr. Sullivan has demonstrated achievement in essential training. He has experience and knowledge that have granted him board-certification. In order to be granted the title of an ABOMS Diplomate, he had to pass an intensive application and examination process.
