Preventive Dentistry

Preventive dentistry is the first line of defense against dental problems. By focusing on prevention, we can help you avoid more extensive treatments down the road. Our preventive services are designed to maintain your oral health and catch any potential issues before they become serious.

Regular cleanings and exams are essential for maintaining a healthy smile. During these visits, Brett Sullivan, DMD, MD will remove plaque and tartar buildup that brushing and flossing at home can't get rid of.

We will then perform a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, looking for early signs of cavities, gum disease, or other issues. Early detection is key to successful treatment, which is why we recommend scheduling cleanings and exams every six months.

Restorative Dentistry

Over time, teeth can become damaged due to decay, injury, or wear. Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing this damage and restoring the function and appearance of your teeth. Whether you need a simple filling or a more complex procedure like a dental implant, our restorative services are designed to meet your needs.

Our restorative services include bridges, and dental implants. Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth, helping to maintain the alignment of your remaining teeth and restore your smile. Dental implants are the most advanced solution for missing teeth, providing a permanent, natural-looking replacement that functions just like your own teeth.

FAQs

What Are Dental Implants, and Are They Effective?

Dental implants are titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to serve as a base for replacement teeth. Their natural appearance, durability, and ability to preserve the health of the jawbone make them a highly appealing tooth replacement option.

How Long Does the Dental Implant Procedure Take?

Getting a dental implant usually takes several months. This includes the time needed for the implant to integrate with the bone, which ensures a strong, stable foundation for the final restoration.

How Do Dental Bridges Work?

A dental bridge consists of artificial teeth anchored by crowns on adjacent healthy teeth or implants, filling a gap of missing teeth and restoring function and aesthetics.

What Are the Benefits of Dentures?

Dentures are removable prosthetic devices that replace missing teeth. They restore function, improve appearance, and support facial structure for patients with multiple missing teeth.

What is the Difference Between Complete and Partial Dentures?

Complete dentures replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw, while partial dentures replace some missing teeth, attaching to the remaining natural teeth with clasps or precision attachments.
