The American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), is the certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States, and is recognized and approved by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association.
As an ABOMS Diplomate, Dr. Sullivan has demonstrated achievement in essential training. He has experience and knowledge that have granted him board-certification. In order to be granted the title of an ABOMS Diplomate, he had to pass an intensive application and examination process. To retain his board-certification, Dr. Sullivan must maintain current standards through ongoing professional processes; and must remain current with his knowledge and skills, in order to practice in a safe and contemporary manner.
