There are a lot of suggested foods that claim to remove deep tooth stains, but the reality is that they help to remove plaque and provide vitamins that your teeth need. These, in addition to a consistent routine and the correct toothpaste and brushing technique, all help in lightening your dental stains. As with most aspects of our bodies, our diet heavily impacts how our bodies respond to and adapt to nutrients. And as such, some foods are better to eat than others when it comes to lightening stains on our teeth.
Vegetables and Crunchies
High fiber is the goal when it comes to eating vegetables for your dental health. Foods like broccoli and carrots are good to eat because of their course textures and high vitamin qualities. However, the best vegetable to eat to clean your teeth and help fight back staining plaque is celery. This is because the fibers of celery are naturally stringy and difficult to break (but not difficult to chew). Celery can be treated as the food version of a toothbrush—although it can't replace the real thing.
Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds aren't often thought about when considering tooth health or stains, but they can actually be very effective for lightening problem areas. Because nuts and seeds are small and tough, they are also usually rough. This means that as you chew them, they help to knock off some of that plaque that has built up over the day. This works similar to celery because both of them help produce white smiles while in conjunction with brushing routines.
