If the cause is sleep position or the pillow a person sleeps with, changing that is a simple thing to do. A sleep test may help diagnose this issue and find the right position for you to sleep in. TMJ is also treatable. Oral appliances and mouthguards can help relieve the stress of the TMJ to help eliminate the pain from the condition. There are also other types of treatment that will help stop the pain from TMJ. If you suffer chronic jaw pain, you should not try to live with it.
