Brett Sullivan, DMD, MD is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a proud Oregon native. With over 18 years of surgical experience and tens of thousands of procedures performed, he has become a trusted provider of advanced oral surgery for patients throughout Clackamas County and the greater Portland area.
Dr. Sullivan is also a medical doctor. His dual degree sets him apart as an oral surgeon by allowing him to provide a broader range of care and safety for you.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington and earned his dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). He then completed a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he received both his medical degree and specialty surgical training. His education also included a year of general surgery and advanced training in anesthesiology and neurosurgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sullivan has contributed to the field of oral surgery education by writing a chapter on immediate implant placement for a widely used surgical textbook. Under his leadership, Clackamas Implant & Oral Surgery Center is recognized as a Center of Excellence for both X-Nav Technologies and Nobel Biocare. The practice also uses leading-edge tools like photogrammetry and 3D printing to improve outcomes for full-arch restoration cases.

Dr. Sullivan holds active certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). His clinical expertise covers a broad range of procedures, from simple and complex extractions to full-arch dental implant restorations, tori removal, bone grafting, and more.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with his family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, he appreciates the many recreational opportunities the Pacific Northwest offers, including golfing, water sports, and skiing.
